Vivienne Jones is a qualified Chiropodist and is registered with the Health Professions Council.
She has been practicing since 2000 and has offered Chiropody services based at Chew Valley Osteopathic and Therapies Practice since 2004.
Vivienne provides a wide range of chiropody services, including nail cutting, in-growing toenails, and the more usual complaints of corns and callous, fungal nails, Athlete’s Foot and verruca. Palliative treatments to ease discomfort of common conditions are given and many problems are eliminated.
Painful conditions such as Metatarsalgia (ball of foot pain) and plantar faciitis (heel pain) are identified and advice given.
Orthotics for shoes can be prescribed to help conditions such as flat foot and to correct the gait, thus alleviating abnormal stresses upon the foot.
Referrals for various complaints are often made to GP’s and on to orthopaedic consultants for corrections for bunions and severe hammer toes etc.
Vivienne regards herself as being part of a medical team in the community and is happy to work with other health care professionals ie. GP’s, District nurses, physiotherapists etc., for the benefit of the client.
Advice on general foot care is given and how to deal with common foot complaints.
Diabetic patients need to be extra careful with their feet and it is advisable for all diabetics to see a qualified chiropodist regularly for professional foot care.
As well as the Clinic, Vivienne provides a home visiting service. Appointments can be made via the practice.
