What is NLP and Hypnosis?

NLP stands for Neuro-Linguistic-Programming. It was invented by Dr Richard Bandler and John Grinder.

Neuro - nervous system through which experience is received and processed though the five systems.

Linguistic - language and non-verbal communication systems through which neural representations are coded, ordered and given meaning.

Programming - The ability to organise our communication and neurological systems to achieve specific desired goals and results.

NLP uses the language, pictures and thoughts that are in your mind and helps you rearrange them to produce better feelings, pictures, thoughts and behaviour patterns that you desire. After a session you are able to achieve whatever you would like because different feelings and thoughts are associated, and your brain processes information in a new and more useful way for you. Because learning happens at a sub-conscious level the results are very quick and easy to achieve.

Hypnosis is an enjoyable eyes closed relaxation process that allows different parts of your mind to be accessed, and is very much like day dreaming. You remain in total control and can end it at any point should you wish, and contrary to what Hollywood would have us believe, you cannot be 'programmed' to do anything you would not normally or do not wish to do - you are not giving over control of your mind to someone else. You are merely being helped to communicate with bits of it that you normally cannot access.
