PRIVATE MEDICAL INSURANCE

Many of our patients have private medical insurance and ask if their treatment with us will be covered by them. The answer, annoyingly, is not completely straightforward.

Both Osteopathy and Chiropody are generally covered as they are considered medical treatments. Massage may be covered if it can be demonstrated that it is serving a medical benefit, and this will also depend on the wording of your policy.

Payment

Treatment must be paid for upon receipt by the client. We will then provide a suitable receipt so that you can claim the payment back from your insurers. Some insurers require a "medical report" for Osteopathic treatments - we provide a brief report and receipt after every 3rd treatment where this is the case. Should the insurers want a more detailed report, this will be charged for.

Please note, we do NOT work with insurance companies that stipulate that they must pre-authorise any treatment, or that require us to invoice them so they can pay us directly.

Always check with your insurance company before commencing treatment.
